tried foiling

Have just made another ( yet another) fabric postcard and did foiling with Bondaweb ( fusible webbing)was doubtful it would work but I like the results, not necessarily the design lol. did some Shiva marking with a stencil 1st. It is in my Postcard album at the beginning. Thanks for looking--

How pretty, just delightfully pretty. I haven't tried foiling yet. Is it very tricky? Polly

Very nice, Estelle. The foiling is a really nice addition - and I like the design too. It's simple, but the foiling makes it classy!

Those cards are just incredibly lovely.

In fact, your whole webshots site is a delight. You're very talented! Thanks for sharing the link.

Thank you Polly. Now I have tried it I can say it is very easy. Trace the shape of the part you want to add foil to on your choice of fusible web and cut out the shape. Fuse it in on to the fabric with the iron, then put on the foil with the shiny side up and iron over (with something to protect it in case the iron is a little too hot! don't ask!) The foil can be then peeled away and will only stick to the fusible web! Great fun!

What sort of foil do you use for this? I really like the effect - would work well for Christmas stuff.

Hi Lizzy. The foil is called Ario Transfoils. I got a trial pack with gold silver and bronze from one of the shows. I think it was Malvern, a couple of years ago. They adhere to any sticky surface. I think they can be used on paper/card also.I have just found their web site.

Is the Green "bow" intentionally made to look like a dragonfly?? i am a huge fan of dragonflies. Just beautiful work. I love the other cards too. the Ballerinas are so pretty. you're so talented! You're students will love this technique.

Thank you Amy .Do you know I never noticed the "Dragon Fly" until you said. I could say it was intentional and now my nose is growing as we speak! lol
