Update on Oliso iron

I posted awhile back that I bought an Oliso iron and didn't like it. I emailed the company - they sent me a new one. Still don't like it - returned it for a refund this week.

The irons don't get hot enought, they don't put out enough steam and they're heavy. Also, the point isn't pointy enough if you're trying to iron clothes (which I don't do very often, but once in awhile, I'm forced to!)

I'm back to my little Sew 'n' Press Rowento that gets hot and puts out enough steam for me to get a facial at the same time (that's how my friend describes her Rowenta!)

Two of my friends bought Olisos at the same time and also took their's back. The only thing I did like about it was the feet!

I'm glad you posted your (and your friends') experience with it. I was thinking about saving up for one, but wasn't sure about it yet as it is a great deal of money (at least for me right now). I had talked to a small LQS owner that had just gotten some in for her shop and purchased one for herself. She took it out of the box and let me look at it, and it seamed really nice, but she hadn't used hers yet to say whether she like it or not. Perhaps I'll have to put my money towards something else.

Yes it is. I thought it sounded like a wonderful idea - just didn't work the way I want an iron to work. Especially considering how much they cost. I decided the money was better off back in my checking account instead of in an iron I wasn't going to use.
