Wedding Quilt Finished

I just finished my nephew and wife's wedding quilt. Considering they celebrated their second anniversary on Monday, I'm only a little bit late! Now on to my niece and husband's quilt - they celebrate two years in October, and hopefully I'll get that one done before the date gets here.

If you'd like to take a look, it's the first 7 or 8 pictures in my Webshots album (link below). Thanks.

Sorry! I should specify they're in my 2010 Quilts album.

Yep, I do know you're not exactly subtle (oh, wait a minute, you mean in your quilt fabric selection, didn't you?)! I'm definitely branching out into more colorful choices myself now (thanks to your influence!), but for this one, I stuck with my old favorites. My niece-in-law's favorite color is pink, but I just couldn't see my nephew going for that, so I figured neutral was the safe way to go.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks, Estelle. I've been looking at it for so long (it's been sitting for at least a year waiting to be quilted), I'm going to miss it terribly! And it would be a nice addition to our living room!

It's stunning, Louise, and well worth the two year wait. Your wreaths are just so pretty! I'm sure they will both love it and treasure it as the heirloom it is. Well done! Donna

Thanks Taria! I do think the quilt would work as a 30th anniversary gift as well as a wedding gift, don't you? I'll keep that in mind if the bride doesn't like it!

Thank you, Donna. I hope they agree that it was worth the wait!

The monogram was actually the start of the whole thing. I knew I wanted to incorporate that - then it was just a matter of deciding what would complement it!

Thanks, Amy. Nope, it's not hand quilted - I did it on the longarm. I'm afraid if I'd hand quilted it, it would be another two years before I was done!
