ATC Swap? Katrina?

Happy Friday all!

Kate mentioned something about doing an ATC Swap in the Tags thread, so I thought I'd give it it's own post.

I would LOVE to do another ATC swap!

Katrina has usually been the hostess with the mostest for the ATC's - so Katrina - are you willing to host again??

If not, I will happily host this time.

Thanks!

Won't that be funny if the swap is all signed up and ready to go before Katrina even knows she's hosting. hahaha. Reminds of when I was working out of the home. The place I worked at had monthly potlucks. After everyone had tasted my homemade rolls someone would sign me up each month for rolls. It was funny to go sign up and already be on the list. I was glad everyone enjoyed my rolls that much.

I want to pick the theme or at least suggest one.

Quilt me or Weave Me.

I will happily keep track of things, and if Katrina wants to take over, hand over the reins. :)

I like your suggestion kate. I was also going to say I have recently gotten into "inchies" which are 1"x1" atcs. So, I was going to suggest we also make a matching inchie with our ATC. Wouldn't have to be the same pattern copied onto 1x1, just something complimentary.

What do others think?

I'm here! I'm here!

Okay, I'm ready. Let's do it. I've been thinking of some ideas for a theme and my favorite is collage houses. I know, sounds strange, but they are fun to make. Kate, I do love weaving (paper) too and have done some atcs this way. By quilting, are you talking paper or fabric or either? I'm sure I could do paper but no way fabric, even though I love getting fabric atcs. Any other ideas? I have some houses in my webshots album if anyone wants to see them. I'll go get the link and post it.

As for inchies, I love looking at them but have never made any. How on earth do you display them?

Yeah Katrina! Glad to see you!

Inchies - I just did my first swap of them on splitcoast, it was fun! I put them on a white card, the same size as an ATC, with removable tape, and put them in my ATC album.

HI

Count me in. and it would be quilting in paper not fabric.

Inchies would be fun but hard and a fun challenge.

Your link didn't work but I'll mooch around.

Cathy the ACT's are 3 1/2 " x 2 1/2". I think that 7 Gypsies that makes packs of blank cards that you can buy. I just cut them out of a sheet of Bazzill cardstock and then you can decorate them any way that you want. It is just a smaller version of a tag.

Cathy, the collage houses are just that. They're made from mismatched papers, magazine clippings, stickers, I even used ric-rac & lace on one. It's like paper piecing, you just cut out and assemble them on your atc. Does that clear it up? I'll add some others that I got in a swap so you can see how other people make them, if you want.

Crystal, thanks for fixing my link. I should've double checked it. Do you want to give atcs a try?

I'll post an official sign up thread real soon. How about this, we make the the atcs houses and, if you want, paper quilt an inchie for each player? I'll check in for any further input and post for sign ups tomarrow.

Cathy...I googled "collage houses" and there is a youtube video showing one person's interpretation of collage houses. For ATC's I suspect it will be the same idea in miniature. See it here:
