Baby Shower Thank You Cards

One of my scrapping friends decided we had to have a baby shower for the twins since Maya is now 7, and we really didn't have much baby stuff leftover from her. It was a nice little family/close friends party, and I got some nice pictures to scrap. I've been working on making home-made thank you cards for the past week off and on, and finally finished last night! Here's a close-up of some of them.

Nothing fancy, mind you, although I found some great ideas on the web. Used pre-made, pre-scored pastel blank cardstock, found some patterned paper with cute little ducks (my friend had little ducks on the home- made invitations) on it to cut to size, used a 'thank you' stamp on plain white cardstock, tore around it and used ink pads to highlight the edges. Added some baby ribbon and small embellishments to the top and hand-wrote thank yous on more cut down white cardstock and glued it on the inside with those little adhesive squares. The pastel cardstock came with pastel envelopes that I mixed and matched for mailing.

Turned out pretty cute for 'cheating', but I think my friends and family will understand! :-)

Now just have to get out of the house today and mail them before the babies get here! :-)

Thanks, Marcie! I had 3 showers with Maya and remember it taking weeks to send thank you cards...this time it wasn't so bad, a much smaller affair with just close friends and family. :-) Much easier to take care of!
