Cards, Cards and MORE Cards!!

I asked Deb to come over today to visit, then had the bright idea that we could sit and be creative while gabbing. Since I started using Stampin' Up cardstock for cards I decided that the "crappy cardstock" that I have could be used for cards. (It's not bad stuff, just not the high quality of SU) I also have tons of scrap patterned paper. We weren't too creative until after Deb had lunch. That was all it took for her to kick us into gear. Sadly we didn't get but a few done before she had to go. I had drug all my

8 1/2 x 11 cardstock, scraps, embellishments, ribbon, fiber, some stamps and ink, punches, scissors, then of course all the necessary tools we needed into our dining room. Good thing we have a huge table!! After Deb left I didn't clean up. Instead I made a few more cards, made dinner and ate with the boys, took the rabbit outside to exercise then came back in. I finished about 30 minutes ago and I have to say that I made 40, yes 40 cards!!! My rear is numb from sitting on a hard chair, and my ankles swollen as we have a countertop hight table and the chairs are nearly barstool hight!

I will be making more cards on another day as Deb and I didn't even begin to touch my stockpile of cardstock, and scraps of paper!! or embellishments! LOL (hanging head, I am SUCH a FLOOZY/FLASS!!) Perhaps I should be ashamed........Nah! I will be making these cards to give away in groups.

Oh sure, I really made us creative. LOL All I did was close my eyes and pull a scrap of patterened paper out of the binder thingy! Somehow though, it made it easier to create a card though. Go figure! It was tons of fun though, spending time with Kenda. I look forward to doing it again!

40 cards! WOW! Of course, I'm sure that didn't even put a dent in your stash. LOL

But it did work pulling something out of the binder thingy, blind! LOL And no, it didn't put a dent in it. I asked DH to guess how many cards I made yesterday. "well, let's see, it's not near a big holiday so you aren't mass producing....7" heehee "no dear, 40!!" Holy Moly!

We'll do it again soon, and if Dave comes through we'll have to clear him a spot at the table or on the floor with the "extra dog"!

Now we couldn't put poor Dave on the floor, that's just mean. How about in the backyard with the bunny? LOL

Well, I have to say Deb, the dog lives a pretty good life! But he can be with the bunny ifin he wants! But I'd rather we put him at the table with us, it'd be easier to embarrass him that way! LOL

Wow 40 cards! It took me a few days to get 41 cards done for M-C's challenge... I think it was last year. I did 41 different cards stamping and trying to use all the scraps and I found that to be quite a challenge for me. I think I could do 40 cards easier if they were all the same and I could assembly line them.

Wow! That's what I call a productive afternoon... cards are a great way to use up scraps and oddments - the problem is that they don't use very much, so I never make a dent in the pile :P

No Dave visit as far as I know. We're just making plans on embarrassing him whenever he's here. LOL

True, it is much better for him at the table. Of course, that means we have to make room for him around all your stash. LOL
