CD's and sick husband

Hi everyone. First let me thank everyone for all there prayers. I almost lost my DH but he has jumped back so good. I know it had to do with all our prayers. The doctor put him in the hospital because his blood count dropped down to 7.8. They started him on blood right away. Still not knowing where the blood was going. His breathing was so labored. They even started asking about Do Not Resuscitate . That scared the daylights out of me. His prostate swelled up and they had to put a tube in him so he could pee. It seemed like everything was going bad. Plus his mind was slipping. As it turned out he had fluid around his heart. The fluid around the heart is suppose to be the color of beer. His was full of blood. They drained it (which is a surgery in itself). They took 900cc of fluid mixed with blood off him. That night he pulled out the tube.So they tied him down. All the sleeping pills they gave him just sent him in a tail spin. He was wide awake. Then they put a feeding tube down his nose because he was not eating and loooseing weight like crazy. He pulled that tube out. It was a mess and I lost 11 pounds in 13 days. He is much better health wise. But his mind isn't back yet.

I finally got the CD's done and I will overnight them to Jessica on monday. Please forgive me for making her late getting them back out to you guys. Many thanks to everyone and to Jessica. Love Irene

Irene,

Your husband and you are my thoughts and prayers. The prayer system through this group is truely amazing. I hope that your husband continues to improve. You get rest and take care of yourself to, I know easier said then done.

Irene, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your DH. I do understand what you are going through. When they start talking about not resuscitating and send in a counselor it gets scary. Your take care of him and yourself, we can wait on the cd's. They are not a priority and he is. Hugs, Sandy

Irene family first! Our swap is way down the line of priorities at such a tough time as you and DH have had. I so happy to hear he's feeling better. So, take care of you both. Don't worry your pretty head about being late on the swap.

Hugs, Lynne

I'm so glad your hubby is feeling better now. I don't mind a bit that the CD swap may be delayed a few days. You needed to be with your hubby.

Oh my Irene, how difficult a time you have been and are going through! I will continue to keep you and your hubby in my prayers. Are you going through this alone, or do you have family or friends to help and support you? As for the CD's I think that it is heroic on your part that you got them done at all with everything you are coping with.

God bless, M-C
