HI All,
its been taking longer than expected but the crafting gods have been on my side as of late.
In the trash last week someone was throwing out an upper cabinet from a kitchen remodel in perfectly good condition. So I lugged it upstairs and it is now in the "craft/guest" room with a found piece of lumber/shelf to make the cabinet have a top.
Today we finally went to Ikea because they were having a sale on a desk I was eyeing. The desk usually $220 was on sale for $110 so we headed out to Hicksville. But because I've been very budget concious, I told larry I wanted to swing in the "damaged but useable" section of ikea because I figured I'm going to damage it with one eyelet hit how bad can the tables/desks/etc be? We found a great table top for $14 and pair it up with 4 $5 legs and for $34 my craft table was born and it only had a few scratches and dings (on the bottom of it). Even better the rug we were eyeing was also on sale for $19 so the craft room cost $59 and I'm very happy. Larry is even thrilled because he was terrified that the desk was going to be sold out.
I hope to finish the craft area tomorrow now that the drill is recharged. Once it is officially done I'll post pictures unless work in progress pictures would be acceptable.
I cannot wait to craft traditionally. As much as I love digital scrapbooking I miss glue, stickers, paper, etc. LOL
Hugs, Kate
