Thanks again Crystal. I am currently doing a small 8" book to take on a trip to Liverpool at the end of the month, to meet up with family I have never met before. The timing is to coincide with the eightieth birthday of my Dad's 1st cousin...again unknown to me. Most of this branch of the family will be at this event so it will be a fabulous opportunity to meet them.

You see...two years ago I started doing my family genealogy and last year I was put in touch with a

2nd cousin I didn't know anything about. We have become "so" close yet we have only communicated by email and telephone. The little book is so that those I meet on this trip will have a visual reference of previously unknown family. Check this out for a family resemblance: The photo is of my2nd cousin's grandmother born 1888 and me, born ten years after her death. Marilyn

My Marie was a little power house too. There was nothing she didn't = think she could do and over the half the time she was right. My poodle = gives up too easily, which does make it easier on me.

Wow! The resemblance is striking. I've seen that in family photos e-mailed to me by distant cousins as I do research. I received a family group photo from a lady three states away that was descended from my great-grandfather's brother. I could pick out one of my brothers and a sister in the crowd as if they were really there, and the photo was taken in 1910. Sandy

Sandy....isn't it spooky that I look so like my great aunt? :) My 2nd cousin Anne was blown away by the resemblance, as neither she nor her sister seemed to look much like their grandmother. I am so looking forwarded to this short trip as it just feels so right!! Hopefully it will lead to more opportunities in the future....perhaps a joint visit to Pembrokeshire in Wales. My cousin has already drawn up an itinerary for the weekend so we can get to visit as many family history locations in Liverpool as is possible. Looks like I am in for a busy time :) Marilyn
