Goals 2007/2008

How did everyone do with their 2007 goals? I know this past year I set myself a goal of 1 LO per week. I was able to get some scrapping in over the holidays. This was my final totals for 2007:

2007 Totals LO's completed - 125 Swaps -8 Cards - 63 Clipboards - 2 Lunch Pail - Mini Album - 5 Workshops/Classes Taught - 5 Paint can - 1 Altered Items - 3

With Lynne's card challenge I should do better in that area this year. I was actually down on LO's this past year. When I checked my 2006 totals I had completed 178 LO's that year. Now I can reset the totals and start again this year. I got a head start as I did 8 more recipe pages today for a swap I'm participating in.

I did terrible, I met none of the goals I had set. My hubby and I started to work on getting our home movies off of the varied sizes of video tapes. We decided to do some editing and make more creative mini movies with lovely labels and dates and info on the movies. It took us most of fall and winter and the desk where I scrap was covered with disks and video cameras and wires the whole time! If that is a form of scrapbooking I guess I did great, we made over 10 DVDs of nearly 15 years worth of home movies! I guess we made video scrapbooks! lol

My new goal will be to finish up the few videos that are left and start working on last years scrapbooking goals! lol

I suppose my goal could be to just get something done. I've barely scrapped in forever. Maybe the Barn, and you all know I didn't get much done there. LOL Hey maybe I'll try to finish all of the half done los that I've started. Yeah, that's where I'll start.

I'm kind of surprised I thought I didn't get anything done given how sick I was this year but the totals are interesting.

Cards: 61 Traditional Layouts: 32 Jewelry: 7 digital layouts: 20 altered items: 6 ATC's: 8 Swap: 6

Larry looks at the total and said "wow."

I hope to do more layouts and more jewelry. So far my totals for this year is:

Jewelry: 3 Traditional layout: 1 (2 pg spread) Digital layout: 4

Lol

Katrina, I loved your card you sent with my SS package. Where did you get the plastic. It looks like it might be the type you use for the report folders.

I can't remember my goals for 2007. But I'm sure I didn't achieve them - at least scrapbook wise. The only thing I did was a flip-flop album for a friend and a few cards.

So this year's goal is to at least start one of the albums I've planned.

And I might be able to achieve this goal since I will be going - with a 90% chance - to Seattle for the second half of the year. So keep all scrapbooking supplies hiding or there won't be any left in the stores after I left ;)

My boyfriend applied for an internship and it's looking pretty good for him. So if I can find something to do for me, I'll be joining him. I already contacted the University of Washington but unfortunately I can only apply there as an international student if I'm a graduate student. So I'll have to see what I'll be doing about this.

How wonderful! You will be able to meet at least two of our group members while you are there. Seattle is one place I have always wanted to visit. With a little investigating, I'm sure some of our members will be able to help you plan out your attack on the scrapbook stores in the area. Sandy

I don't remember what my goals were, but I was really productive this year even with a two month layoff for the move. Here are my totals:

Scrapbook Pages: 219 Cards: 100 ACTs: 12 Altered Tin: 1 CD Swap: 24 Recipe Swap: 22

My 2008 goal is to equal or pass my 2007 goal. I also want to make more cards during the year and get my Christmas cards done before July.

Ok I take it back. I wasn't productive at all.

Wow, look at those totals.

Given how talented everyone is, I'm impressed with those totals everyone posted.

I'm so looking forward to do this. I just hope all works out somehow.... I'm sure Seattle is a great area. Just the traffic in and out of the city must be a mess as I've heard. He'll be working in Redmond, so our appartment will be somewhere around there. I've never been to the westcoast before so I'm hoping to also be able to see some places further south. But for now I should stop making plans. It's not

100% sure yet that I'll be going.... Susanne

Wow you did great on your goals! I am impressed. You did all of that while getting your day care up and running. Can I say WOW again?

My goals for 2007 were to: Make a page a week - I made 55!! Yae. Make my Christmas cards early - I did end up making 25 cards this year but I would like to make more. Use up some of my scrapsupplies - I didn't even make a dent but I did slow my spending so that counts, right? Finish my Christmas 2004 album - I didn't finish but there is always

2008. ;)

I am working on my 2008 goals. Hopefully I will post my completed layout today for MCs challenge!

Best of luck to everyone on there 2008 goals!!

Do we have to discuss this? LOL I completely and miserably bombed my goals for 2007, and we just won't discuss what they were or what I did. LOL For this year though, my goals are:

1 LO per week, or 4 LOs a month 16 cards per month (I have this written down on a paper and taped to my craft table to remind me.)

One of my other major goals this year is to take care of myself. I have been terrible at that! So this year, I'm taking better care of myself in health, spiritual, and emotional, so that I can be there to take care of the wonderful family God has blessed me with. Part of that means me making time for me, even if it's 1 hour per week. Doesn't matter if it's craft time or just readign a book....something for me so that I don't go nuts and get stressed out.

These are awesome goals. I didn't have goals set for 2007 which was probably a good thing :) So, I will hop in here and set some 2008 goals. I would like to get 2 layouts done a week- so that totals 76 layouts. For cards, I would like to complete at least 5 a month. This would put me in good shape for Christmas and a few others here and there. I would like to get more involved in swaps so I hope to do 2 swaps this year. Hopefully I can manage my goals and get my schoolwork done :)

(Think I missed this post, sorry to piggy back Deb)

I really didn't set any goals last year, and won't this year....except.....To get Womanland back and get all my stuff organized. I also have a goal of going "no-buy/low-buy". I have been busy sorting all my stuff and have sorted some out to give away. I am also gathering up my projects (you know the ones where you say, "oh I have everything for that") and putting them together, so when I do have WL back I can get started. It's all slow as I have to take lots of breaks and take care of the knee (which isn't going well).

So in a nutshell, it's not that I don't have goals, it that I just need to work on my space. Perhaps next year I'll set some goals or set some after I get my space working.
