Help Needed. Recipe Swap..

I'm in a creative block.

No matter what I try to do for this swap, I can't stand and then rip it apart and try again.

Please tell me you guys have layouts that I can look at for inspirations.

I'm desperate.

THanks, Kate

Kate - sorry to hear your having such trouble!

I am still working out my design...I like to come up with a mental picture, then sketch it out before commiting to paper and glue.

Umm - so, some ideas for inspiration -

Focus on a favorite ior key ingredient of the recipe Focus on why you chose the recipie - a special memory, that it's comfort food.... Since we're doing soups and stews - maybe use a bowl, and put the recipie inside it (froma birds eye view? Find a quote about the goodness of food, or soup, or stew

I hope those might help!!! Good luck!!!!

I haven't really thought about mine other than what the recipe will be. I think I have some from previous swaps in my Yahoo photos account.

Hi Kate,

I do the same thing when I'm getting one together too. I do have a recipe album on my webshots account to give you an idea. In fact there are some recipe photos on the RCS website in the completed swaps section. Those should help nudge you along.

I went to AC Moore today and the only way I got creative was doing some retail thinking. I have a recipe in mind so I chose a patterned paper that reminded me of that recipe. I chose the cardstock and embellishments from there. For the layout, I am at a loss. I think I will take a look at old magazines to get an idea or two. I have all of the swaps I participated in on my webshots. The work is not just mine but other swap participants. It is under Swaps of course. The link is:

Hope this helps! Jacqui
