How to remove things from old scrapbooks?

I was wondering if anyone knows the best way to remove things from 100 year old scrapbooks. Is there a "best" way to do it? I got a nice scrapbook but needed to remove a couple cards and scraps out of it but they appear to be glued in. I thought i'd ask for your help before i ruined them. Please let me know! Thanks

Undu, dental floss and patience.

undu (which I need some more!), WAXED dental floss and I have heard that you can take a steamer or steam iron and shoot (heat) the back of the page. works well with those old magnetic type albums that had the sticky lines in them to hold stuff in place. I used this myself.

Thanks 4 replies. I was told though that undu did not work on things that were glued. I will try it out. If there are any others methods with chemicals or anything i am willing to try them all!

If Un-du doesn't work, try gently working a piece of dental floss to release the glue, if the scrapbook itself doesn't matter, you could take part of the page while removing them, then work on it from the back. Another choice would be to have the items photo copied before any attempt to remove them.
