I'm late! October CCC's and a LO

Yes, did not make it in time for October, but hopefully I'll be quicker with the November CCC's.

I'm feeling pretty happy with how they turned out. I used some ribbon and made some tags for the CCC's this month. I also did another double LO for my Mom's Album. It's at

I'm not too satisfied with how it turned out, but decided to move on, because I allready spend a lot of time on it. I dedicated the page to the flowers and music my Mom had on her wedding. I adjusted the colours on one of her photo's to a yellow hue and then made a slight enlargement of her bouquet - leaving it in the original colour, and placed it over the original photo. I pictured the end result a bit different in my minds eye - but what can you do? I think what bothers me the most is that the balance of the page just don't feel right, but I don't know how to fix it...anyway ...it will just have to do. Would love to hear what everyone thinks ! :)

Your cards are wonderful. Love the simple design. I'm not sure what I would change on your Flowers LO. I wonder if the white flowers would look better if they were not matted on squares. It seems like there are too many corners on the pages. Just my thoughts,

Cards are great! Great way to use scraps and make beautiful cards.

I know what you mean about a LO not feeling right in your head. No matter how you move things around or add things it's just not right. From an outside perspective I think it's just beautiful. I really like how you highlighted the flowers and had the lyrics to the song. The pages are beautiful.

What was the song she had at her wedding? The words on my computer are too small to read.

Thanks for the constructive comments Sandy! I think I agree with you, but because the flowers are white, they just don't "pop" without a contrasting background. I'm gonna give it a rest for a week or two and maybe then I can look at it with fresh eyes and make good changes on those pages.

Thanks Lynne! I always try to use up all my scraps when I do the cards. Only used "new" white cardstock for the cardblanks on these. The rest came from my scrap file, which by the way, I've organized according to colours now - makes it a lot easier! :)

Thanks Katherine! I don't think we've "met" yet :) Please to meet ya! The words are "Three times a Lady by Lionel Richie, but they used the Kenny Rodgers version on her wedding :)

I like that song too, if I may use your idea and put it on my mother's page (when I get around to it). She was certainly a beautiful lady inside - she died 2-1/2 years ago.

Yes, it's starting to heat up here in South Africa and after a very wet and cold winter, it's quite welcome! My Mom's husband is also from Australia. He immigrated to South Africa a few years ago.
