I've been busy painting!

It's hard to believe it's Thursday already. I've been busy painting the apartment. I've been doing the livingroom for the last week and I REALLY wanted to get it all finished by the weekend so I could put things back the way they were supposed to be, but it's not going to happen. I've done the ceiling and patched the holes in the walls and this afternoon I got off my rear and painted two and a half walls. My hands are really sore now from using the roller! My husband's been sick this week too, which hasn't helped

- I've had to do everything myself and couldn't get him to help me out by cooking dinner or anything. I was going to cook apricot chicken drumsticks tonight but it's too late already so I have no idea what we'll have to eat! I just feel like curling up and going to sleep!

Because of being so busy I haven't been feeling like doing anything crafty lately. I went shopping and picked up the easter gift for the one swap I signed up for, and I even considered buying my easter cards but I was horrified at how much they cost in the grocery store! So now I have to get off my lazy rear and make the time to make them. I did get one good thing though - when I was looking for the easter gift I went to The Rag Shop and they had a whole basket of stickers reduced to 28c a sheet! I only had ten dollars on me so I bought twenty sheets and two packets of embossed cardboard frames that were also on clearance. They should make very pretty cards :-)

Now to get off my rear and get my crafty tasks done - I have to make a dozen easter cards for postcard friends, and make 3 gatefold cards for another group, and I have to do the April birthday cards for the cardpunching group I'm on and start on the four or five swaps I signed up for on a scrapbooking group - they're not due till June but I don't want to leave them all till the last minute! And if I ever get around to it I started making a mini-wedding album for my parents at Christmas time and I got halfway through and stalled! On the non-craft creative side I started revamping my website Kajikit's Corner and adding a hurricane section to it, and making a website for our church. so I've been busy!

Karen, I think you need to take a break.....you sound like you could use a day like Barb just had. When I get swamped like this (and it happens more than I would like) I make a priority list of things to get done. Then I do one a day and forget about the rest until their turn rolls around. Everything will eventually get done and it takes the worry and stress off my shoulders. That way you can focus on just the task at hand. And don't forget to put some 'me' time in there too. Sandy

WOW! I need to go back to bed just after reading this! I think you need a nice soak in the tub with a good book & a cup of herbal tea:>)

I know... and I was wondering why I have so little inertia and was so tired and achy the last few days... I was half-asking myself if I was going into a depression again like I did years ago, but really I was just TIRED from unaccustomed exercise! Plus the change to daylight savings time, which messes up my body clock for at least a week... I feel a lot better today and the living room is nearly done.
