Local Scrapbook store CLosIng ~:o(

I recently (Sat.) got an e-mail stating that a kinda local Scrapbook store (Your Happy Place) was closing its doors due to poor times. We all know @ the Bad economy. Well, I went today (keep in mind I was just there last Tuesday). 75% of the stuff was gone already. I think to myself if they were so slow how can all the stuff practically be gone already (not even one week). I did manage to get the MOST Gorgeous Maya Road Ribbon. .99 per yard, a Huge bottle of clear UTEE, clear crown album, 3 pack of dividers Cropper hopper, a Melting pot Susie Weizman, some princess stickers, nice altered art book, some Magenta peel offs. All of which was plus 40% off. All in all not a bad day!! Blessings to all, Dorothy in NY

Dorothy, sorry to hear about your local LSS. It is sad that in todays times the smaller businesses are suffering and having to close. Sounds like you got some good deals though! Linda

THere's one closing by me as well...I went in the first day of the "Closing Sale". All they had was 20% off, but the store was packed. It was a 45 minute wait to check out. All I could think was if these people could have shopped like this more, the store might not have closed. I ended up not getting anything. It never really carried much other than paper and stickers. I don't use a lot of stickers, and really only saw 2-3 sheets of paper I liked. It really wasn't worth the wait.
