How Many are on Facebook? click respond with a ME! if you are on.
If you are on Facebook, would you want a group made there that mimic this but is administrative blocked so the spam that we get here goes away for those who see it through Google?
I was just wondering about the group for facebook, maybe when I'm in Maryland my friend can fix Outlook for me. I look at this through Google and the junk is amazing.
I am on Facebook and on here.... I don't mind either one... I personally am on Facebook a whole lot more than here.... as I can see posts from many different people on Facebook.... friends, family and scrap book friends.... Lately have not seen as much spam on here though.... and although this group has gotten smaller (Or at least it seems to have)..... I at least am still getting at least one email nearly every day....

ME....and since I am new on FB I am still finding my way around. That said, I am UNSURE if a group would be better than USENET since I don't know enough about it at present :) I would be happy to go with what everyone else thinks.
I haven't done a lot of crafting for a while now, I have been really involved with genealogy for the last couple of years. However, I still check RCS regularly using the "free" eternal-september.org news servers through OE to read posts but I don't have much to say craftwise but I love to check out everyone's work. Seems that many of the ISP are dropping RCS and using Google sucks so if that was the only option available I think I would have given up by now.
I'm thinking maybe taking all the hard work MC did on the RCS Info website and putting it onto a private invite only board on Facebook because it has another virus on it and maybe cancel out another expense for MC. I'll check with MC and see what she thinks before she heads for surgery.
I am on Facebook and spend a lot of time there, but I also check the RCS group here on Google, since I lost using the Outlook option. I really dont see much spam but I would like for us to be a more active group like we used to be, where ever we end up! :-)
I don't have a problem with spam. I use windows mail and get the newsgroup through news.verizon.net with no problem. I like the format there, probably because I am used to it. FB still confuses me and the only reason I even signed up was because my DD wanted me to. We've argued about myspace and she moved to fb and told me she wasn't adding anything she didn't want me to see and got me to join to prove it. Someone suggested yahoo groups and I do use that one a lot also. It's secure in that it can be set up for membership. I don't know how secure fb really is. Sandy
I belong to a group on Facebook..... and I am not sure you girls and guys are going to like it the same.... as here... Pretty much the best sites I have ever seen for hosting a group are MyFamily.com and it is because you can keep it more private and only by invitation and word of mouth can you become a member.... That all being said... it costs about $30. a year to start a group on there... On Facebook My group is a little harder to separate from my other friends.... I hope that all makes sense... I also have seen and became friends with a few of the RCS people on Facebook....
They are supposed to be admitted to the group and I am the main Administrator.... but I don't think it is anywhere close to being like this.... just be careful and check it out Kate...
What is the web site URL? I've been trying to find it, but haven't managed to guess it (or find it with a Google search). The nearest thing I found was a Motorola site (rcs.info redirects to
