Meet with Dave - sorry took so long to post!

Wow - everyone was right - Dave is so great! Unfortunately due to scheduling issues, I was only able to meet with him for a very a short period of time, only about 45 min. But, We had fun! I met him in his big rig in the Costco parking lot nearby, where we chatted and I looked at his albums.

Due to the spur of the moment arrangement to meet him, I was unable to bring him anythinhg of mine to look at.

I got to choose one of his famous candles, and also got some of his fiber flingers and his border strips. Then we went to Starbuck's and chuckled together until I had to run off.

It was so nice to meet Dave, despite the short time - I hope next time we'll have a longer to talk!

I was the lucky Seattelite who really got to visit with Dave. I met Dave at Starbucks just after Jess left and I took him (or should I say he took me) to a fabulous dinner at the Spagetti Factory, a wonderfully popular Spagetti house with fancy furnishings, large portioned homemade pasta dishes and basement pricing. Dave and I were able to take our time over dinner and really had a wonderful visit... more than 2 hours at the restraunt. Due to a miscommunication of fast-talking telephone calls we each thought we were meeting on a different day, at a different time. Fortunately it all worked out. When I was done with work I just zipped right on over to where he awaited my arrival. I imagine the people at Starbucks thought he was dating each of us, seeing each for a little while, talking, and then waiting until the next arrived... giggle giggle... Anyway we had a wonderful time though I was very disappointed that I was not able to share any of my books with him due to the fact we met the night before I was expecting too. But he's promised a next time so I'll get him then!

Both Helen and Mystic had other plans and were unable to meet with Dave on this go around.

I was so glad to see these posts!! I was imagining Dave stuck in all that snow that been going on. I couldn't remember what route that Dave had said he would be taking.

Sounds like everyone had a good time, even if the visits weren't long enough! Next time ladies I know that Dave will be hounding you to see your work! LOL Dave loves to oogle all the wonderful things that everyone does and pictures on-line just don't do them justice. They are soooo much better in real life!

bierox is a german pie type.... it is a mixture of either or/all these ingredients inside a wheat or white dough and baked...... hamburger, sausage, cheese, cabbage, spices. Mine had all those ingerdients. My mom made it with hamburger, a little sausage, cabbage and enclosed ina dough and bake it. I love the stuff. I used to go to the tri state fair just to get it but a few bakeries make them now.
