My best friend moved! :-(

Hi everyone. I just needed "a" shoulder to cry on today. My best friend of the last three years is moving out of state, and today we had to say our goodbyes. I was a mess, yes, I cried! We have shared a lot! Our kids played together, we worked at the same store, and she was the one who introduced me to scrapbooking and we got together a lot and scrapped!!! I have always told her that its all HER fault that I am addicted..LOL I am hoping we can get together again sometime and scrap again, but she is 6 hours away. I will miss her daily friendship so much! *sigh*

Thanks for listening!

Ahhhh Linda... I hope she has internet, because you 2 can still have daily contact. I have a good friend that lives in Pennsylvania and we talk daily. Maybe she can even join us here RCS and you two can challenge each other with the challenges.

I know how that feels!!! Here is my shoulder and a kleenex. Just remember,

6 hours is doable, especially if there is an LSS about half way in the middle and hopefully you can also be internet buddies!!!

I completely understand, Linda. But hopefully she'll be able to have internet and you can still keep in touch.

Oh Linda I'm so sorry to hear this. Its not easy when your best friend moves. I moved away from my best friend about 5 years ago. She lives in Ohio and I live here in Florida. I moved because I was getting married :) We still talk and she comes to visit during the summers. :)

Again I'm really sorry and I know how much it hurts!! Just know we are here if you need to talk.

That's always hard. At least with today's technology she is a phonecall or keyboard keys away. Though it's not the same. One of my best friends and I keep in touch that way. She was just down with the kids two weeks ago. It was hard to see her leave again.... Sandy

Linda, just think how good it will be to see her again! That's something to look forward to. Hang on to good friends, they don't come by so often. The one good thing of true good friends are that even if you don't see them for a while, when you get together again, it's almost as if you've never been apart. Hang in there Linda!

I'm sorry! I know JUST how you feel. About 6 years ago, my two best friends moved away within two weeks! I thought I would die for awhile, it was so sad.

You'll always miss her, but things will get better with time.

I am hoping she will get internet service once she gets settled in. I have already told her about everyone here, so I am keeping my fingers crossed! I miss her like crazy!

thanks for the Kleenex M-C! ...I sure needed it Friday! Yeah, 6 hours isn't too far and we have already talked about meeting halfway somewhere near Fort Wayne, Indiana, and getting a motel for a night and just scrapping, or, like you said, find a LSS available to go to! We have another mutual friend and we are starting to plan something maybe before school starts! :-) Yippee! Linda C

I'll get in tough with my friend (she moved to Elkhart). She was telling me about a scrapbook factory outlet she found up around Fort Wayne. I'll see what I can find out about it for you. Sandy

I've had the same best friend for 25 years. Wow. I feel old when I say that. We've been friends since 5th grade or before. I don't get to see her that much. We are both busy all the time with family and kids. We keep saying we are going to get together. I'm really glad she has internet at work now. I keep in touch with her a log more. We live about 2 hours apart. I do miss living closer. Sometimes it feels like we are fading away. I don't know how to make it better either. I'm trying now to plan a weekend together for late this summer with them. I'm hoping it works outs.

Hugs!!

Shannon, I hope that you can get together with your friend! I have another gal I met when I was 19, and she moved to Texas years ago. We still keep in touch by email, and an occasional phone call. When she does come back home we "do lunch" and yack! Its like we were never apart sometimes. Good friends are hard to find!

I was up there for three days - about thirteen years ago. Spent the entire time from opening to closing at the Allen County Public Library. They have the biggest genealogy department in Indiana and the Midwest. I would be hard pressed to decide between my two loves - scrapbooking and genealogy if I ever get that way again. At least the library would close before a scrapbook store and I could spend the rest of the evening there Sandy

Sorry to hear you friend moved away. Six hour isn't that far away though, especially if you meet halfway.
