New Year's Resolutions or Goals for 2009

What are your resolutions or goals for 2009?

My goals for 2009 are:

Getting youngest son a car (don't want to deal with the soon to be ex over the truck DS is driving) I want to work on an Adoration Quilt Take time for myself every day. Even if it's only sitting at the dining room table with a cup of coffee watching the squirrels eat from the bird feeders and the birds. Do something creative every day. Even if it's just stamping something one day, coloring something or cutting something out. Just a little bit every day will add up to completed projects.

I agree that these are great goals. I plan to be creative a liitle bit every day. I have several ways to do this.. And Bible Study every day... and Prayer... To get out and walk at least a little every day... (or use tread mill)... I also want to spend more time with my family, esp. my sisters and my girls and their Babies.... but I do not count these as resolutions, just goals. I also plan to become organised and cut out more of the clutter....

Great resolutions Cyndi Anne and Kenda. The organizing goal is something I can relate to and being crafty everyday is an awesome goal.

I am no good with resolutions but I do have two goals to complete this year. The first is to follow a budget that we have already laid out and the second is to complete my first 100 mile bike ride/competition. I start training for the bike ride later this month and I am very excited. The ride is this summer so I have 5 months or so to get ready. The budget thing is hard. I am good at creating them but not so good at sticking to them. LOL. I am sure some of you can understand, right? I am not alone? LOL.

Best of luck with everyone's goals and resolutions! I wish everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Great goals ladies.

Mine are:

1) Declutter!!! Not just my house, but my mind, body, and people in my life who take more energy than they give!

2) Take care of me! Including more crafting, and learning to love myself for who I am.

3) Continue to try to bring back common courtesies and manners, and generally trying to be a kind, respectful person.

4) And of course, less procrastination, but as you can see I waited last to mention that.

Good luck and a great 2009 to you all!

My "goals" for 2009 are:

1) More scrapping. I have a specific project(s) I want to get done this year. I want to make a scrapbook for each of my daughters (2) for their birthday. One is coming up mid April so I need to get busy fast, lol.

2) Making Christmas cards, at least 5 per month.

3) Taking better care of myself, exercising being #1. I hate to exercise and I've been having problems w/my left leg so I don't even want to walk and I love to walk. I am going to start working on that this week.

This will be a GREAT Year!!

For those of you who are working to get in better shape, I thought I would mention the Pound for Pound challenge. If you watch the Biggest Loser you have probably heard of it. Basically, you work on getting in shape and report the number of pounds you lose. For every pound you lose, they will donate a pound of food. You can read more about it here:

I signed up and took the pledge. It was super easy. For me, since the end result helps more than just myself, it is great motivation. Just thought I would pass it along. Crystal

So, one of my resolutions was to do the 100 mile bike ride. I went to the meeting to sign up for the training and found out I couldn't participate. I was unable to get medical clearance because of my chronic illnesses. It looks like I am just going to have to work on hitting the gym more instead. The good thing is, my budgeting is going very well. =D

That's a bummer. One of my new years resolutions was also to become more active. We've taken up boogie boarding (might be known as body boarding in the States), and mountain biking. We also did a bit of snorkling last weekend after many years and I realized how much I missed that!! I'm recovering from flu at the moment - so no biking or boarding this weekend tho :(

I admire people that can discipline themselves to go to the gym. For myself, I prefer doing outdoorsy kind of excercise.
