OT: A little off the scrapbooking path

Hi, everyone.

Don't you think for a minute that I am not checking this group at least every other day. I am scrapbooking through you guys and enjoying all your creative projects.

I think the below turned more into a vent session but my intent was to let you know 1) I was/am busy and 2)I was still thinking about all of you.

Soo read on if you want to listen to the venting....Otherwise stop here and know I miss the interaction of the group but have been enjoying your posts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My life as of late has been hectic to say the least and when I life gets crazy I tend to stop the scrapbooking. I really shouldn't do that since scrapbooking/creating relaxes me.

My schedule for the past month or so: Flordia for a week Aug 30th- Sept 6th (Vacation with a family wedding so not much vacation) Kazakhstan Sept 8th-19th WORK Home a week Sept 20th-27th (working overtime) Denmark Sept 28th-Oct 4th Home for two weeks... saying thanks to the Lord for being home two weeks in a row and saying prayers that after my next couple of trips I won't have to travel during December.

On top of everything my Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and had surgery this past month. My MIL was hospitalized and could not move due to back problems. She just had surgery last week. Insurance has denied her physical therapy at the moment (darn insurance companies) so have no idea how long she will not be mobile. Even when I have been in the state of Texas I haven't been home.

On top of that we have Texas A&M season football tickets and if you are into football... you know how A&M isn't doing well. ;o) I have enjoyed being out and enjoying an American favorite pass time and not worrying about all the already mention items. It is just something else that is hindering me getting into my scrapbook room.

Thanks for letting me vent!!!!

Hugs to all!

Like you I read a lot but don't always answer every post. With DH not currently working, the only way I can get scrapbook supplies and have some fun is to sell scrapbook supplies and create and sell my classes. In fact I am giving classes three weekends in a row and on the 4th weekend I'm hosting another all day crop. The weekend after that we will be in DC where DH has 6 job interviews which may or may not result in a job. We probably won't know fir sure until Feb or March. So things are pretty stressful here!

In addition I am doing my best to work on the RCS/Scrapbook Buddies Cruise, trying to make/craft or knit most if not all of my Christmas presents, making as much stuff as I can for a craft fair at the end of November and trying, but failing miserably, to keep up with my friends, my blog and the

100+ non spam emails I get everyday.

So Tammy I feel you pain and wish we lived closer, sounds like we need to to run away from the real world for a couple of weeks!

When do you find time to relax? Your life sounds like it is in constant motion. Hope both your Mom and MIL are doing better. Thoughts and prayers for both of them. I definitely understand what you mean about not being able to scrapbook, especially when it seems to relax me when I can sit down and work on a LO.

Wow Tammy - you have a lot on your plate. It's quite understandable that you don't have time for scrapping. I'm also like that - scrapping relaxes me, but somehow I don't do it, when I'm stressed. I do hope your Mom is doing better and I will keep her and your MIL in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. My Mom was also diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000 and had to have a mastectomy but praise the Lord, have been in remission and of the chemo now for 3 years. So don't loose hope! I do wish you a peaceful and calm December. Not too long to go.

Take a bit of time to look after yourself too! Remember that you can only be helpful to others when you are feeling healthy and strong yourself.
