OT: Had to take dog to Vet

Tonight I come home to find our dog Buddy to be very sick. He was hiding in the corner of the room wouldn't eat then we we finally got him up out of the corner his whole right side of his face swollen. We rushed him to the vet. Our poor Buddy had a very bad allergic reaction to something, don't know what. He had to get 3 shots and he is on several medications. He is no eatting but he still doesn't feel well. Please wish Buddy well. Thanks!

Awww...that is sad to hear. I found my dog in that situation one time and it worried me to death and I know you feel the same. I hope he gets well soon!

Having a 21-year-old cat, I know what it is to worry about the health of a beloved fur child. Tigger & I are sending lots of good thoughts to both of you for Buddy's speedy recovery. Keep us posted.

I am taking the day off from work today to be with Buddy. Jeff (my DH) is in the hospital with transplant complications (again) and I just don't have the heart to leave Buddy alone. My MIL was going to come over during the day and check on him but its just not the same. I'm sure my boss isn't going to be happy because I had yesterday off (scheduled day off) and then I'm calling in today. OOOHHH well my furbaby is more important and I never ever call it unless its a dier emergency. Sometimes we just have to do what we have to do. Why go a to work be a wreck all day not be able to considentrate and mess up my work. Best to stay home and cuddle Buddy. Thank you everyone for your well wishes.

Ahh Chrissy so sorry you're having such a hard time. Sounds like you're the rock right now holding the family together. No one ever said on their death bed "I wished I had worked more"... they wished they spent more time with their family... and Buddy is family.

Hope everyone starts feeling better real soon.

My gosh Chrissy, you are up to your nexk with worry! I hope Jeff feels better soon and then stays stable for a good long time! Hopefully the medicine will do the trick there and Buddy will soon be back to his old self. I took a couple of days off years ago when my cat Nikki died and last year I was a total basket case when Radar my beautiful and adorable furbaby got sick, so I feel for you. Frankly I'm not sure how you are managing to hold on to your sanity with everything that is going on, but I know that your faith certainly has something to do with it! Hope your dad gets better soon too!
