OT: Winter Ball a success

I've been so busy for the last three weeks getting ready for the GS Winter Ball that I'm so far behind for Christmas I may not get done...... The ball (Friday night) was a success. We had 140 participants. Not bad for our small community. The girls had a great time, did manicures, glitter & gloss: ettiquite training; made calling cards; had a ballroom dance instructor; and a professional photographer doing photo packages. I posted photos of my girls (DD and the granddaughters) in my webshot account in Sandy's album (last three photos) if you want to take a look.

I also completed the baby album for the newest grandbaby due Dec 30th. 28 pages. The shower was yesterday. I didn't get to take photos of the album before I wrapped it. Finished the last two pages an hour before the shower. Talk about running down to the wire. Now on to the Christmas cards, and gifts I am making. DS's Christmas Program at school is Thursday - he has a solo and I don't think I will bake it until after he sings his part...I hear it alll evening long. Practice...practice...practice...

I'm so glad it was a success and the girls had fun. You've been working hard on it! I remember when you started talking about making the invites. Sounds like your house is the normal house around this time of year. LOL

DH and I had 2 Christmas parties last week. I hosted stamp camp at our house on Saturday, DH volunteered to cook. DS's party at school is Dec. 20. I haven't heard about DD's yet, or any programs at school. The 9th is the yummy chocolate-filled ladies party that I've told ya'll about. Who's coming? I'll give you directions! LOL The 16th is a chili supper at church. The 17th is the children's Christmas fellowship/party after chuch. (Guess who gets to plan that! LOL) The 23rd is caroling with the church. We're having special services the 24th, too. Then a New Year's Eve party the 31st, and DH and I need to plan some activities for the children so they can come and have fun, too. Do you know how hard it is to come up with activities like this that won't break the budget?? LOL Which is why I only have 9 cards done, neither of the sister's albums done yet, or any shopping done for DH. DH has done some shopping for me and the kids, though. I get to go do some more for the kids, and shopping for him. I have got to get busy!! Anyways, yes, it's going to be busy, but I'm looking forward to it.

Glad to hear that went so well! I know it's taken a chunk of your time and still you've been doing a great job as Santa's RCS Elf. Thank you so much for all you've done for all of us!

Here is hoping that your DS does great with his solo and that you get a chance or rather take the time to relax once in a while. You must be totally pooped!

Hugs, M-C
