Paper Punches - Good Deal and Costco

Hi,

I was at my local Costco (Santa Rosa, CA) today and came across a pack of 40 difference paper punches (small ones) for $20 with case. I grabbed one and have to say they are pretty nice. If you need a good assortment of punches and don't want to spend $4 or more for each this could be a good way to go. I don't know if all Costco's have them, but it might be worth a check if your need them.

Included was a boy and girl, shamrock, butterfly, tulip, lizard, heart, snow flake, Christmas tree, chili pepper, flower, and much more.

Thanks for the information. I don't have a costco membership but a BJs membership and occassionally you can truly find great crafting deals.

I bought a pack of Kodak photo paper (8.5x11) for $9.00 which the pack had over a 1,000 pages in it. It lasted me about 9 months.

Yah, I was surprised. I would never have went to Costco looking for paper punches. It is just too much trouble with parking and everything. But, since I was there is was kind of like a big thank you for the gods. So of course I snatched it up.

Sounds good but how well do they punch. The last time I bought a bargain punch which was NIP it was a dull as a butter knife.

Well, I don't have a lot of experience with paper punches. But, they work and the edges seem ok to me. But, then they could be as dull as a butter knife and I wouldn't know it. :)

You'd know it Robert. When you punch something it would come out raggedy looking. I bought a snowflake punch years ago and instead of a crisp clean snowflake cut it had rough edges. I exchanged it and the 2nd was fine.

Sounds like a great deal...especially if they punch good. I've had some that you almost have to tear to get the paper back out of the punch. I think there's a Costco in Houston...I'll have to check it out. THanks.

I found the in the isle with the paper pads and glue sticks.

They are from Cutting Edge and they are called the Paper Punch set. Besides the 40 punches they come in a nice case as well.

I just checked the Costco we site. I searched for Paper Punch and Cutting Edge and nothing came up. Though they did have some scrapbook kit like things.

It just kind of made my day. I was kind of down as I had been cleaning out my dads room most of the day (he passed away in 2003) and so it was just a really nice surprise that screamed out at me to buy them. So I took them home. Now I have to feed them lots of paper. Pets are so demanding. And, the lizard keeps giving me the evil eye. I don't know what's up with that! :)

I saw them and I was soooo tempted to buy the box! But I told myself I didn't need that many specific 'shapes' like the dinosaur etc. Maybe next time we go :P (we go to costco every couple of months to stock up on cans and stuff...) They also have boxes of rubber stamps in different themes - DH wanted to buy me one of them but I said I didn't really 'need' them right then! Really it was because I couldn't decide which box to get!

That's when you get them all! ;)

My Costco didn't have the stamps. Probably a good thing.
