Presentation ideas needed - urgent :))

Well, I'm going to have a meeting at work and at some part of the meeting everyone will present something about themselves for 10 minutes...

What I thought was, even though some of my team mates saw my scrapbooks, noone really knows what it is, so I could present something about scrapbooking... I only have about 7 hours to complete the "about me" and I have no clue what to do...

Should I just make a powerpoint showing pictures of my scrapbooking, or should I take some stuff with me and make a layout in front of everyone... The risk with making a layout there is I make run out of ideas!!! Besides, I only have 10 minutes and it would take more!!!

So can someone please help me!!!

Hi Nural,

How many people are we talking about? When is the presentation? Perhaps you could show the scrapbooks you've already made? Maybe select a few LO's that really speak about who you are and put them together to show people?

Other than that, I like the idea of showing some of your work using whatever you have on hand.

Well,

There is gonna be about 10 people to watch it... Actually I did a powerpoint and I put some pics of me scrapbooking... What I did is, I put one slide about srapbooking history, one about how I started and then I put "what I do" as title and did several pages concerning the steps to follow... and at last I put a layout I did, during my husband was taking my pictures... And then I added some from my communities... I'm going to take my favorite layouts with me and show them there!!! I basicly answered "how I scrap" rather than "what I scrap about"...

what do you think, would that be good?

It sounds great! Way to go! Perhaps you can put it on line sometime for us to see too!

I'm back from the meeting :) I did the presentation and everyone loved it!!! It was like a "scrapbooking for the dummies" cos none of them knew it!! You can view it under here:

Very good presentation. You made it sound so easy that anyone can do it. I meet so many people who say they don't scrapbook because they have no artistic talent. I think it's because they see the really artsy LO's in magazines and it scares them away. Sandy

You really nailed it on the head! It's a great introduction for anyone who has never done scrapbooking before!

Thanks for sharing that with us!

Thanks everyone :)) Well, I just want to share my hobby with new people, so I really tried to make it seem simple, besides I only had 10 minutes!! However, I know that a LO can't be completed in 10 minutes, no matter how simple it can be!!! Also, the layouts in the magazines even scare me away, even though I've been scrapbooking for about 7 years now!!!

I really enjoyed your presentation.

You did have a typo though (mouth for mount) but It was concise and educational.

Good job.
