Questions about colour stamp pads

Hi, everyone It's been a while since I visited - but I know this is a good place to come for information and advice from previous visits.

This time it's about colour stamp pads. I've just gotten into getting some stamp pads - there are so many of them. I didn't realise.

Can anyone explain their different uses to me please?

So I have so far I have some Colorbox:

  1. Chalk ink pad
  2. Pigment brush pad Question: what are their different uses? Used for different papers or what?

Then I have some Tsukineko colours:

  1. Versa Magic Chalk (it says: for a soft matte look versatile fast-drying)
  2. Versa Color (it says: water based ultimate pigment) wow!
  3. Memento (it says water based fast drying on most paper surfaces) what's the difference between Versa Color and Memento I wonder ... ?

Questions: what is the difference between each?

And are some better on 'shiny' papers (excuse my terminology).

Thanks in advance for insights to this seemingly complicated,

Diana (from the west coast of Canada)
