Replace Album Binding?

Ok, I am frustarted, but that is what happens when you buy CHEAPO!! Anyhow the part of the album that hides the edges of the pages and is supposed to expand as you add pages, I have torn one. I tried to add those ring reinforcement things that clerks use but they will not stick.

So looking at some way to fix these torn ones, add something to help prevent that problem or replace that piece.

I guess first I need to know the proper name for that part of the album then I could do a google search or something? Does anyone else have this problem or had it or knew if there is something out there to fix or replace them?

TIA and GRRR!!

I use good old fashioned duct-tape to fix that. You can also go and get a piece of fabric remnant to cover it up as well.

Just a thought, Kate

Have you thought about just replacing the album itself? *ducks and hides in a closet* Someone hand me a flashlight please, I can't see my paper.

It ain't or won't be like the original - WAAA!!

DOH, (whacking self), ya'll are such great help and making my own with some great tape LIKE duck tape that we use in the entertainment business may work. It is like hundred mile hour tape in the military but what we have is called gaff tape. Really tough, durable and strong!

Now I must say Jacqui, that is a really nifty idea!! I was thinking of something along those lines, though not the duct tape but that would really make it sturdy. Girl, you are soooo smart!

Heehee, I was just telling my parents this morning that I wanted to find some of that tape they use in Nascar. You know it's big sheets of it. My mother suggested I write one of the drivers a love letter then at the end put a "P.S. Could I get some of the tape your guys use when you wreck your car and you're trying to stay in the race?"

Wonder if that would work???

When it can't match, that is just an opportunity to *coordinate*. Think of it as choosing the right paper to go with another color. Why be boring? :-)
