Scanned a page, wanna see?

I figured out how to scan my pages for the book I'm making for my sister, even though they're too big for my scanner. I just did two scans and pieced them together in Photoshop. I did some color adjusting to try to get them to look as close as possible to how they really look, but they may look different from one computer to the next.

The title page is mostly blank space, so I got that in one scan. Here it is:

The yellow paper in the middle of the bottom flower scanned weird. It's actually stitching in a spiral with a blob of glitter in the middle. And the border around the yellow is actually orange, not red. Here's a family page:

Clockwise from the top: 1. Dad and Leah.

  1. Mom, me, and Leah.
  2. Maternal Grandma (who took care of all of us after Mom died)
  3. Mom and Dad.

So, for a beginner, how am I doing?

I'll add more if y'all wanna see them too.

They look great, Leah! The combo of colored/patterend frames around the pics works well against the black background.

Keep up the good work! And post more of your pages, please.

Thanks! Actually, I'm Michelle, my sister is Leah. This is a birthday present for her. I'll post later this evening when I have everything else uploaded. I still haven't done the ones with her kids, because I'm waiting on more recent photos.

As a side note about that, I asked her husband if he could take some pics of the kids with their digital while she's not around, and burn them on a cd for me. Is it weird that I asked him to make sure the younger one is wearing a blue shirt to match the paper I want to use?

Michelle, for a beginner they look fabulous if you were experienced they would be fabulouw. You're another one of those people that never looks like a beginner!

Way to go!! I am sure that she will love it. Yes it has flowers, but it isn't girly girl!

No it's not weird to make sure he has a blue shirt on. It means you are a scrapbooker!

You are definately a scrapper Luna! There's not a thing wrong with asking someone to wear a certain color (or outfit even!) so it will match the layout you have in mind. LOL I love your choice of colors! The vibrant colors look great against the black, your sister's favorite color. Keep up the good work!
