stitching together scanned layouts

Please could someone explain how to stitch together a 12 x 12 layout that has been scanned using a standard scanner - preferably using a program like MS Word.

Many thanks

Not sure that can be done with word. You can download programs for stitching pictures together. I got mine when I bought my digital camera. It has a setting for panoramic pictures that you stitch together, but also allows for scanned pictures to be stitched. I googled and found this one, there are screenshots of the program when you scroll down:

Thanks for the help - I thought I remembered someone a year or so ago mentioning stitching in Word here at RCS - I guess I was mistaken - thanks anyway :) I will try the downloads :)

Does the software that came with your scanner have a stitch option? In mine, it in the edit drop down box.
