Uploaded another two pages

Hi peeps,

I have just uploaded another two pages that I started last night and finished this morning.

The pages are of the Falkirk Wheel, which is about a mile away from me. It wasa new Millennium project and has visitors come from all over the world to see it as it is a major feat of engineering. The project involved connecting the Union Canal and the Forth & Clyde Canal. It was my first time visiting when Christopher was home for a holiday and he gave me his old Canon EOS 350d when he upgraded...yeah!! We needed the opportunity to get in lots of practise with our new cameras :)

Thanks for looking, Marilyn

Thanks Kate...the texture was added using a cuttlebug embossing folder. I thought that it would sort of "represent" the riveting on the structure. If you look on the 2nd page you can see something similar on the central picture of the big cog. Marilyn

Thanks Chrissy. It is interesting and you can go on the canalboats if you like. It is also a great place to get some outdoor exercise as there are loads of slabbed pathways. The two canals that are joined were originally a good distance apart so if you walk from the Wheel to the first set of Lock Gates it is a good mile, almost half of it steadily uphill. Makes that old heart pump faster LOL Marilyn

Your LO is great. I've never seen something like that! It would be great to see it in person.

Thanks Lynne. The Wheel is well worth a visit and the engineering is awesome. The big beak part revolves with the boats inside it. You go from the higher level on the Union Canal side, down into the canal basin of the Forth & Clyde Canal to continue the journey west. Years ago the Forth & Clyde was not used so they filled parts in and did away with the swing bridges etc. It was not possible to re-instate the Forth & Clyde from East to West. So joining the two canals was the next best thing :) Marilyn
