What Handmade Xmas Presents are you making

I was wondering what all you crafy people are making for Christmas gifts this year.

Here is my list

Stamped Candles

Stamped Coasters

A decotative cork board - if I can find where I can buy a decent size cork board not matted (will have to look in michaels but I don't want a large one)

I want to get started next week on my sisters scrapbook album. I saw on the cricut board people make name books so I want to give that a try. I really need to get busy on this gift if not I'll start on it and give it for Birthday in July but I really want to have it done for Christmas. I have all the supplies.

And of course Cards

I'm making some cd calendars. Then I'm going to adhere some tiny pictures to the mega Italian charm bracelets.

I am making CD Calendars (of course) and an expandable scrapbook for my aunt as a coffee-table book. I am going to give stamping candles a try for another aunt (I just read a great tutorial on Gina K's blog that gives good instructions in case anyone is wondering) and beyond that I am not sure. I think I am going to try to (try being the key word) alter a few things as well like a picture frame for my grandma and possibly try the stamped coasters. I have in-laws this year and I have no idea what to do for them. I will need to do some brainstorming.

Right now my ideas are to give my one sheet wonder cards in matching tote and I've been knitting scarves all year. So, there will be a few people getting scarves. :)

After reading what everyone else is making I am a bit embarrassed to say that my goal this year is to actually use my sizzix to make tags for all the gifts rather than buying them.

Christmas? Already? No! Not yet! I'm not ready! I haven't even thought about what costumes to get for the kids for Halloween. LOL

Ok, panic time is over. Time to get serious. Handmade gifts...

Actually finish the sisters albums for my sis and SIL Clipboards with pics of kids for the grandparents (I can't claim the idea, got it from the SU catalog.) Probably a CD calendar or two

And if I can actually get my rear in gear, finish a cross-stitch thing for DH that I started last year or the year before.

Big lots had the digital picture frames on sale through their website for $59 each so two of those for the grandparents.

telephone book for sarah with pictures as she wants her purse just like mommy's (thus far she has a doll, play cell phone, makeup (curtesy of me altering empty makeup containers with polymer clay), oreo cookie crumbs and mangled whole cookies) and noticed that Mommy had a phone book so she wants one too.

75 christmas cards is the aim but most likely less -- a girl can dream right?

Chrissy -

I did the french cork boards for Xmas one year, and just bought them at thrift stores for $1 or less usually. Since i was covering them, they didn't have to be pretty, and I could take them out of the frames. Just a thought.

I am doing the calendars, finsishing an album for one freind, coasters and crocheted dish towels. I will also possibly do some food.

I usually make my cards, bake tons of goodies (candy, cookies, etc..) to give away to my friends and co workers locally. I have no idea what else I am going to make! Oh my.. Christmas is right around the corner!

If you scroll down to the middle of this link there is an example of a word book. This crafter used the word Love but I have seen where they use the persons name. These are very nice. Just got to figure out how to make it.

I was in Big Lots on Saturday looking for Halloween decorations and they had

2 aisles of Halloween stuff and about 6 aisles of Christmas decorations out already.

They didn't have the frames out on Saturday. Do you have to buy a flash card to put in it or does it come with one or have memory built in?

The memory is built in. you use a usb port or a memory card to upload the pictures.

its a web only special.

Chrissy, here is my list.

2 Altered cigar boxes to put clear acrylic stamps, inks and a small thing of chalk, along with precut/folded cards & envelopes for my neice (one can never get a child started too early in the wonderful world of crafting! LOL)

Stamped candles- we attended alot of parties and I thought that they'd be great for hostess gifts

Stamped coasters- I've been looking at them on a website and broke down and bought some at Lowes, so I'm going to try to make some, may put them with the candles for hostess gifts.

Cards- My grandmother loves getting cards to send out as she is house bound and can't get out to shop for cards.

That's about it at this point. OH I also plan to make Christmas cards to send out.
