a couple more coats

I am turning into the sweater queen. ;)

I got a call from my DSIL asking if I could make a coat for a friend of hers in green. I asked her to define green a little more narrowly and she said "Green. Like Ireland. All the greens." Well, OK. Here's the results:

Then I did this one for one of DD's best friends. I just love this little gal. Their high school colors were red and black. She's now attending Hendrix College and their colors are orange and black. So I used red, orange and black of course!!! ;) So far, her mother and her aide have both tried to swipe it. There may be some run over toes if they aren't careful. LOL

Working on one now that I was hired to make. A gal saw my niece wearing the one I made for her and asked where she got it. ;) My niece gave her my email address and off we went. She's really a nifty person and I'm enjoying getting to know her. I'll post pictures of that one when it's done.

Off to spray myself with Lysol. There is a stomach bug making the rounds. Mike and I both fell victim last week. Now, the boy child is mid-ick. :( Oh, and the 21st century version of the silver bell one used to ring to get the staff's attention?? Cell phone. I was working away in my sewing room and got a text that said "I'm kind of hungry. What do you think I could eat?" LOL Fixed him a tray of apple sauce, crackers and chicken soup. So far, so good.

Very cute, I bet she gets lots of comments.

Oh, now I have to think of what sort of project-specific Xmas gift to get you for next year. Maybe a tiny little doll-sized swoat...

Yuck! I hope you manage to avoid it.

She was really happy with it, and anything that makes Kasey happy is a good thing. She had to go back to the town in south central AR where she's going to college the next day. Her aide called me (I had no idea who was calling till she said "I work with Kasey." lol) a day or so later. Kasey and I are teaching Kasey to sew (when she's here, I help her. When she's there (almost

4 hours away) she works on things herself. I got her a beginning sewing book with lots of pictures.) She was making a skirt and needed to ask me some questions about it. Her aide said how much she loved the coat too and opined as how Kasey ought to maybe share it with her. lol So I guess it was a hit with everyone. :)

lol That would be way too stinking cute!!! Oooooh!!!! I could cross the swoat pattern with a doggie coat pattern and make one for Ming Tu!!!!!

Oh no, I was the first one to drop. Followed closely by my darling dear. Now it's the boy. *sigh* He did want to eat tonight though, so that's very encouraging.

Nice! I don't think the hood is long enough. :->

Remember, MingTu is a boy. I doubt he will allow me to put a colorful swoat on his masculine self. (After a clip, he wears a custom full-fashioned hand-knit sweater I made for him, likely my last knitting project.)

So sorry you were laid low, and I hope your family is all on the mend by now.
