Friday I took a class at the LQS...on making bags/purses. I finished it , and here are some pictures:

?set=a.2290281773854.2133888.1153269858&type=1 The pattern called for side ties...i put them on last night, and decided that i didn't like them. Probably because i used fusible batting on both the exterior pieces and the lining--the end result is a nicely padded bag , but tying the ties just did not do it. so, they came off. i did buy a magnetic snap to install, but from reading the directions-it would have been better to install that before assembly of the entire bag...so, i may not use it for this one. Overall, I'm happy with the bag, and will likely make more. The fabric had been aging for several years in my closet. I'd like to make a wallet to go with it.....
