American Girl Fashion Show-MI

The famous Scarlett O'Hara wardrobe from the movie "Gone With the Wind" that I reproduced for the American Girl doll for the Michigan State Fair and won Best of Show will be with the full size reproduction gown complete with underpinnings that also won First place and Best of Show and...to win overall Exhibitor of the Year on display at the American Girl Fashion Show in Novi, Michigan Oct 10th &

11th to benefit the Beaumont foundation (they tell me tickets are sold out). If you will be at any of the 4 shows, please come and say "Hello!"

If you know of anywhere else (Libraries, Schools Special Interest Group etc) that might be interested in a display or presentation of any or all of the 60 prize winning items please let me know. I am trying to regenerate interest in the Michigan State Fair!

Thanks You to Nordstroms Department Store for the kind and generous loan of several mannequins for the display!!!!!!!!

Thanks, Joy

I'd love to come over and see them, but it's a wee bit far! Do you have pix to show us? You did so well with them, and I'd love to see them.

Speaking from experience, American Girl doll clothes aren't that difficult to make compared to Barbie stuff! I'm sure your daughter would love having a matching school uniform outfit for her AG. My DD has now outgrown playing with her AG dolls, so they are stored away awaiting the next generation.

True! AG's are tubular-shaped; Barbies are hourglass-shaped. All of my dolls are AG-sized and their clothes are simple to make. Pictures of my dolls are in the ImageStation albums listed below.

Of, if you don't want to spend the time or effort:

I have purchased from dolluniforms.com and am very pleased with both the quality and fit. The bibs on their jumpers are attached to the skirts with Velcro, so you can use it either as a jumper or a skirt.

This would be the perfect time for you to begin playing with them yourself! It could become your own hobby and, as was mentioned in the current issue of Reader's Digest, dolls are a fun and relaxing hobby.

Is there a place that sells patterns for My Twinn doll clothes? If i could buy a pattern for a dress, shirt and pants, i think i can adapt whatever i need from that....

No, sorry! I have web space as part of my ISP deal, so we put the web site up using Front Page. Some of the folks use Webshopts, which seems to work.
