I sleep with a blindfold but on every blindfold I buy, the elastic strap eventually snaps away. I guess I could staple it back on or keep buying new blindfolds, but is there a better way?

It seems like if it breaks that its not big enough. I have made a few sleep masks and if you want I can explain how, they are so easy.
