Bobbin filling

I have filled the bobbin on my machine hundreds of times. As I am trying today, the small rubber wheel that makes contact with the main wheel will not turn to fill the bobbin.

Hopefully Ron will be along soon to provide a solution. But make and model of your machine will probably be a great help to him.

Some bobbin winders will need the occasional drop of oil on the shaft. Others will need a new rubber tire.

Have you tried applying s little pressure to the bobbin with your finger tip. Ihat might help. sounds like the bobbin winder may be wearing down. Ask Ron?!

On the other hand, if one has been a leetle too generous with the oil in the bobbin wheel area, one may have oiled the flywheel, making it too slippery to make contact with the tire. A soft clean cloth, applied to the flywheel where the bobbin-winder tire comes into contact with the bobbin-winder tire, and also clearing the surface of the tire, will alleviate the problem.

Not nearly enough info to help but the first thought is the rubber ring needs replacing.,
