Click and Sew

I finally got a chance to work on a toile for a blouse usinig Click and Sew. I made it up in muslin and it was skin tight, so I let out the seams 1 1/2 inches and still thought it might be tight. My friend Barbara stopped over today and checked me out. She suggest 1 inch more for ease and to shorten the length about 2 inches. She said the fit was great and thought the extra inch would make me feel more comfortable psychologically( You know, never had something fit right and have to get use to what clothing should feel like.) I don't like my clothes to be really loose but don't want every little, well actually big, lump and bump to show. I was considering putting a zipper in the side seam for ease putting the top on. I'll try that on another toile and keep you posted. This is the first top I've ever tried that fit beatifully at the neck and shoulders. JJ

Careful!! I did a toile for a dress, and promptly ordered the full PMB program. (Mind you, my excuse is that dh is about to retire, so I thought I'd better buy it while the income was still coming in.)

LOL - I didn't know you'd succumbed to temptation after all, Olwyn Mary.

JJ: sounds like you're having a great time with Click n Sew.

I'm still eyeballing Curves, but just don't have the money at present.

I would love curves but that's not in the budget for sometime to come. JJ

Yup! DH said "get it now while we still have some money." Now that the kids are grown and gone, educated and married, we have a little more discretionary income, but I continue in my frugal ways. His retirement is set for 3 weeks hence, after which he may do a little consulting. (You know what they say about retirement - twice as much husband and half as much money!)
