does anyone make/sell cotton lace yardage (for curtains) anymore? i keep finding polyester lace, which i don't want because poly makes me ill. nylon would do in a pinch, but i haven't found anything lace in that either. can be all over pattern, bordered or just net-like, preferably not roses or cutesy design though. am i asking for the moon? lee

thanks to you & Polly. i need enough yardage for 4 windows (41"x64"), so i think the $59/yard Madras birds is out :( if i try *really* hard, i might be able to justify doing the birds as single panels & maybe a silk swag... it's for my dining room which is supposed to be somewhat formal (the house is an 1815 Federal transition style. it has both Colonial & Georgian elements... i'm a house geek). i do want lace in there just because i love the sun that room gets all day, but want to cut the glare a bit. it's currently peeling turquoise wallpaper, & i'm repainting it a warm pumpkin(Benjamen Moore Soft Pumpkin) below the chair rails & a slightly pumpkin tinged yellow(Benjamen Moore Morning Dew) above (the yellow is the trim yellow from the adjoining kitchen). lee
