Dance of the seven veils

Ok, so there's no dancing. And there's not seven. But there are three! Black ones. Similar to bridal veils but not so fancy. In fact, there aren't any yet, but I need to make them for the production I'm costuming. How do I do it? Some of you must have made them before...

It may be worth having a look at some goth sites as a black veil is sometimes worn as 'formal' goth wear.

I made my wedding veil and it really couldn't be simpler. I bought a plastic comb to attach it to. Having established the length I wanted, I cut curved corners, I left the edges unfinished and simply gathered by hand the centre 1/3 at the point I wanted the veil to fall from. I then used a whip stitch to attach this gathered area to the comb.

There are sites with good instructions for this but I can't remember where - a Google should do the trick though.
