Diana Dress Form question

Hi, new to the group, not new to sewing, new to owning a dress form.

I purchased this form, it is a plus sizable form, adjusts in every imaginable direction, including the neck! but it did not come with a manual or instructions on HOW to set it or what exactly each dial does.

Is there any way I can get some information on it? I have googled but either I am not looking right or I am not understanding what I am reading. I haven't garment sewed in quite some time, but with my new toy, I am renewing my interest a bit.

Oh, and I don't know what they are worth, but I paid $10 for mine, like new only missing the "how to use it" part. And at the moment, that is the most vital part! So it was a great score I am sure, as soon as I learn how to set the sucker up for my shape.

The forms are made in Ashford, here in Kent. I'm going to ring them and see what they can do for us. But it's only 8:20 am here, and the office won't be awake until nine. :)

OK, here's what I got for you.

Best thing to do according to the lady at Adjustoform is contact the US distributors and get the leaflet through them:

Prym Consumer USA PO Box 5028 Spartanburgh South Carolina 29304

Telephone (001) 864 5765 050

You could email: snipped-for-privacy@prym-consumer-usa.com

My very helpful lady said Pauma Deaton was a very helpful person and should be able to send what you need.

Adjustoform's own web site is here:

Thank you for your reply. That one that is for sale is identical to the one I got, but at a MUCH better price mind you ;-)

Are these things really worth the money and space to own??

I got a free one - given by a pal who outgrew it! ;)

How *can* you ask??? I have FOUR of them! And I want a teen sized one and the bloke to round off my 'family'. I take them off the stand and bag them up and store them in the loft when not in use. :)

I find them almost essential for customer sewing and very useful fr myself. No substitute for a proper fitting, but you can take a lot of the guess-work out of things. :)
