Diana Dress Form question

Hi, new to the group, not new to sewing, new to owning a dress form.

I purchased this form, it is a plus sizable form, adjusts in every
imaginable direction, including the neck! but it did not come with a manual
or instructions on HOW to set it or what exactly each dial does.

Is there any way I can get some information on it? I have googled but either
I am not looking right or I am not understanding what I am reading. I
haven't garment sewed in quite some time, but with my new toy, I am renewing
my interest a bit.

Oh, and I don't know what they are worth, but I paid $10 for mine, like new
only missing the "how to use it" part. And at the moment, that is the most
vital part! So it was a great score I am sure, as soon as I learn how to set
the sucker up for my shape.

There is a used one offered for sale here:
http://www.usedvancouver.com/classified-ad/792280&category=sewing-knitting

Ad Id: 792280

why not contact the seller and see if he/she will photocopy or
scan the manual for you for a fee?

These folks sell the Diana Dress Form new:

maybe Kate could snag a manual for you?

The forms are made in Ashford, here in Kent.  I'm going to ring them and
see what they can do for us.  But it's only 8:20 am here, and the office
won't be awake until nine.  :)

Thank you for your reply. That one that is for sale is identical to the one
I got, but at a MUCH better price mind you ;-)

Are these things really worth the money and space to own??

How *can* you ask???  I have FOUR of them!  And I want a teen sized one
and the bloke to round off my 'family'.  I take them off the stand and
bag them up and store them in the loft when not in use.  :)

I find them almost essential for customer sewing and very useful fr
myself.  No substitute for a proper fitting, but you can take a lot of
the guess-work out of things.  :)

My very helpful lady said Pauma Deaton was a very helpful person and

Oh Kate to the rescue! Thank you so much! Now, if I knew that it was going
to be you to my rescue I could have just asked in RTCQ huh? LOL Thanks a
bunch, tons of info and this last one is a gold mine.
I am almost excited to try garment sewing again. I havent done it for years
and the last thing I made was a lined blazer and kick pleat skirt. I look at
them now and think..... "I made that?????"

That's because they only sell them: they are made by Adjustoform.  See
other post for contact details here and in the USA...  :)
