Does anyone know how to adjust the timing on this machine

As I recall, fabric was taken into the slots under the needle and had to be extricated from there. I didn't yank it out but removed the bobbin case and worked carefully and slowly. Now the timing is off...and just when after months of not sewing I want and need to sew something. Isn't that always the way? I've been to YouTube but still haven't found the right way to do this myself. Yes, I'm a cheapskate and can't afford the outrageous prices they want for this service when I know with a few pictures, I can do this myself....maybe.

Oh, I thought this site was for my machine which is a Kenmore 385 19606 however, it's made by Janome.
