Dress Makers' Dummy

Anyone still use one? Any sources for a used one? Any warnings about used ones? Do they come in different womens sizes?

Thanks Dana

I have five in different sizes, and bought 3 of them new. The other two were given to me. I have a kids size one, two slim ladies (10-14/16), a big lass (14-22ish) and a Mature Lady (Grand Dame size). There are three different makes. You can also get men's ones. They come in inches and centimetres (or both, like my newer ones), and the sort that come in 8 segments so you can alter the back/waist length are the best. Some older ones need to be altered with a screwdriver, and some just have wheels or knobs to turn. I use them quite a lot, but they are no real substitute for fitting properly on real live bodies.
