Dyeing Polar Fleece

Is it possible to re-dye a RTW polar fleece top? I have one in a pale peach colour that I'd like to be a little darker. I know polar fleece holds dye well, but I don't know if that's before or after it's made up into fabric. All the sites I read said that dyeing polyester is tricky, so now I'm confused.

Thanks for any help, Julie.

if you are insistent on attempting to do this.

Yes dyeing synthetics is extremely tricky, and sucess is hard to come by.

Thanks Penny. Glad I didn't waste any money/time/effort trying to do this! The colour isn't too horrible - I'll just live with it.

Is this to make a warm topper for your strapless sleeveless winter wedding gown?? :) Seriously, a shade can be modified by adding trim. E.g. black would make it appear paler, white lighter. If you can find trim in the shade that you wish the main fabric were, you might be happier than just living with it. HTH
