Posting again. Please give me your thoughts on this brand. (sewing machines - not their sergers) Thanks.

archives....Iremember posting on one of the sewing newsgroups a few months ago about theeuropro

But the short of it is:

  1. It works fine for an entry level machine.
  2. It is a bit noisy (compared to, say, a Viking), but it is powerful (i.e. curtains, denim)
  3. There's several presser feet that came with mine (model 7500 craft-n-sew)
  4. It's made of all metal parts. Mine has never needed to be serviced. Tho it had the tendency to slide around at higher speed.
  5. Customer service is awful. It takes weeks to get through on their one phone line. They seem very reluctant to send out replacement manuals. (this is a thumbs down and the reason I didn't buy my next machine from them)
  6. I used the EuroPro almost every week for a year and had no problems other than the occassional tension adjustment or thread breaking.

Do you not want to buy another White? I think there is a White model that's currently made by Viking...

Please forgive the top post but here goes: Thanks for the info. I would love to buy another White but the price on the Euro-Pro is very tempting. Thanks for your help. Sun
