Fabric Came

The rayon fabric I ordered from Fabric.com for my special celebration outfit came today and it's wonderful. It's soft and drapes like a dream and the colors are perfect for me. I love it. Juno

Congratulations! I have to confess, I came close to placing an order when you posted the URL. I can hardly wait to see your outfit.

Now that I have it, I may change the way I use it. The fabric with the border trim might become the skirt and the stripes the top. I ordered enough that I can use it either way and still have enough left over to do something else. I'm waiting to get together with my friend. She will measure me for the skirt draft, drape the two fabrics on me and then I can decide how to use it. I also have to get some cheap stuff for my toile.I haven't shown the fabric to DH yet because I want to surprise him with the finished job.

Isn't it wonderful when something is perfect, though you've only seen it online!! I think it's gorgeous. Which reminds me, I'm going to have to get busy to get myself a new outfit for DGD's college graduation, May 3rd. It's at 10:30 in the morning in FL; I'm waiting for hints from her Mom. Emily

It really is so pretty, Has lots of umph which I need. One of my reasons for thinking about changing which piece I will use for the top is because the striped fabric has a good amount of bright colors which look better near my face. I hope you can find exactly what you need for your DGD graduation. Right now Fabric.com has some very pretty rayons and they are perfect for warm weather. Juno

Yay!!! I'm so glad you were happy with it.

Been having some computer issues here or I would have Yay-ed sooner. ;)

Ah yes, a computer issue. We all get them don't we? A friend was here for the weekend and I took out the fabric to show her. One look and she said with out any hesitation " you are making the skirt from the border fabric, I hope." That settled it for me that that's the way to go, border fabric for the skirt, stripe for the top. Juno

That will look so good! You'll have to post the required pictures, of course.

You have to have great patience. The dinner isn't until June and I still don't have the required digital camera. I will have to snag one of the darling children for a picture when I'm sewn together. Juno

One of the perks of aging is that I did discover patience. All things come to she who waits, I guess. You *need* a digital camera and somebody should put one in your hand and say Happy Birthday, or Happy Mother's Day or Happy Valentine's Day. Among other things, they're much cheaper than film cameras. But that's only one of the advantages.

I had a magnet on my fridge - put there by my MIL - that said, "Lord, grant me patience.....NOW!!!!!"
