Finished 48J plunge bra!

Hey, I'm excited. I just finished a bra for my 48J friend (3rd version) and I think it turned out rather pretty! She's going to try it on tomorrow. I had to rush to finish it, because she's going to be on TV on Thursday and realized she wanted to have a better bra by then. (Just told me this evening.) This was supposed to be another working model, but I was having a nice time making it look good so I went ahead and did a real finishing job. It's only yucky black tricot, but the upper cup is black embroidered tulle. (Actually it's flocked, but the pattern is leaves and vines.) I did the bottom cup with a fan of 4 vertical seams, semi-flat felled. Looks a bit Victorian there. Plus there's a side shaper panel. The biggest deal is that I cut the neckline ultra-plunge, which the previous versions didn't have. The neckline looks a bit like this:

yeah, I made shaped straps. She's African American, so I did abrown ribbon down the center covered with the patterned tulle. Withthe underwires I did a no-no. I took the 60 wires and stretched themso the bottom of the curve was wider and flatter to match her anatomy.Nipped the arms, smoothed with an emery board and dipped in Shoe Goo.Hope they dry by tomorrow. (And I hope they don't break from thestress.) Wish me luck with the fitting! I'll post pics to the bra connection forum probably Saturday.

AAgh! Just tried the bra on 48J: It's off the hook SEXY! The shaping is lovely and the decollete is breathtaking. And it fits her pretty darned well! Upper cup could use just a little dart, but we're still both happy with it and it's much better than anything she's got. She's going to wear it on a local television show to promote the San Jose Jazz Festival (she's a jazz singer with the Jack Conway Trio). I pretty much guessed how long to make the back wings and she says the band is perfect.

No time for pictures today, but definitely this weekend. I will admit to feeling quite elated...

It sounds excellent. Once you get this really how you both like it, you'll have a customer for life! :)

Well, she was my MOH. She's already my best friend for life :-)

I watched her on TV yesterday afternoon and I admit I stared at her chest the whole time. She sang great, and her bustline didn't sag.
