flags flags and more flags!!

Well, I *thought* I was going to be making a safari jacket and vests for Christmas, but the "little" sewing project that popped up last month has completely grown out of control!!

WooHoo!! I thought maybe a dozen or so flags...nope, up to 32 already and they are getting ready to send home order forms to ALL the parents!! The orders that I have already filled were just ones that were made during parent-teacher conferences!!

So, the safari jacket, which has been all cut out and is halfway marked is now on hold, as are the vests that DH wanted me to make him.

Not a bad thing as the flags are bringing in a little money and he knows that I will get his stuff made eventually.

Larisa, who will probably be dreaming in burgundy and white for weeks to come

That sounds scary. Maybe you should put a cap on it so as not to lose your mind. Or at least extend the time frame. It could snowball. Do we get to see the flags? At least you are making money. Maybe you can get an assistant.

Kirsten,

After talking with the lady who got me into the flag business, she told me to take a break, not to stress, and to remember that NO PROMISES have been made as to the delivery time for the flags. So, the only person causing the stress was myself. I have yet to do any flags this week, but will probably get the background bits ready this weekend for the next round - that way I can work on them at my leisure.

The flags are nothing outrageous or over the top, but they are apparently selling well.

Thanks! They wanted simple, and I guess you can't get more simple than a cougar paw on a plain background :-)
