Folkwear Ao Dai

My alterations to the pattern were sucessful. The sleeves fit, the bust fits, everything's good. I have decided that I don't like the color (white) so I will dye it a nice green. I only made the tunic, because I didn't have quite enough fabric left for the pants. The fabric is a nice cotton jaquard. I decided (in the spirit of sour grapes) that the cotton jaquard would have been too heavy for the pants anyway. I may fuss with the shoulder darts anyway, I think they are are a little too full, but I don't want to get too nuts because I want to be able to move my arms. I left the front and back waist shaping darts off. I like the floatier fit that gives better than the clingy one. Then again, if I had an inward curving waist instead of slightly the opposite, I might have put them in. If I loose weight and get a waistline back, I may still add them.
