Well, sort of. Usenet (and the Google Groups which are not part of Usenet) gets a lot of spam from people using Gmail, but my two gmail accounts are remarkably spam-free.
But the original poster is probably hunting for valid email addresses to spam, rather than having some altruistic "oh, let's help people get new gmail accounts" impulse.
