Gave in

I admit it, I gave in and bought a newer machine. A refurbished HV#1+ on eBay. I just hope it works as advertised because it seems no one else wanted to bid on it. Now I really have to get serious about the diet or I'll have no reason to have bought it.

Let us know how well it works! I see lots of trade-ins at a local sewing store that rents space inside JoAnn's. Mighty tempting.

I have a 1+ and I just LOVE it! Still haven't done with it everything it can do! Have had it for about 18 months now, got it used from a local Viking dealer, and only recently done more with the embroidery capabilities...and having a ball with it!

=46eel free to join us over on a YAHOO group dedicated to the 1+. Lots = of great help files and the group owner is unbelievably knowledgeable about these machines.

I join in congrats and continued happy dance. Have had mine for 14 months now and the only problem I've found is not enough time to sew on the sweet lovely. It is a wonder and I get happier the closer I am to it. Part of my time problem has been chasing down gear for it. Think I'm done now, and have given up my position as secretary to board of directors for our choral society, so things are looking up timewise. Got mine through our local dealer here in Reading PA, with a few classes thrown in and available helpline. The dealer gave me the name of the Yahoo group that Irene referenced. Jan, the monitor, is wonderful. Do come! She also has some DVDs for sale that are really instructive. Plus she has pix on the site that will help you with threading the bobbin, maintenance, and so many things.

I have also dealt with the Lehigh Valley Viking people as I've needed some things right away when my OSMG didn't have them, and have found them to be very helpful.

Let us know when you get it!! Sharon

I have a problem joining yahoo groups. The registration never accepts what I put in. It especially has a problem with the 'password hint' question. Always says the question is too close to the answer, duh! Isn't that the reason for the question????????? AK in PA
