guetermann thread quality

Anybody else noticed any issues with the quality of Guetermann's poly thread lately? The last two spools of black I've used have left small piles of black dust at all the tension points on my SM. Not happy imagining what it's doing to the inside of the machine. :P

What perfect timing you have. Funny you should mention the problem with Gutermann thread, I just finished a skirt today using Gutermann's black poly thread and noticed I had to dust my machine a few times today. I don't recall having this problem before with my regular brand of thread (Coats). I thought it was odd. This was the first time I have used Gutermann thread, I bought it because I had heard such good things about it and I was making a special skirt for myself.

I have been using some blakd sulky thread and it is the same. I always thought sulky was the best. I cannot use the guetermann metallic variagated on my machines I think I will have to adjust the settings. Black is always bad as it has to be dyed so manytimes and getsweak in the process so I am told. Liz
